couchdb-bin software package provides RESTful document oriented database, programs, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install couchdb-bin
couchdb-bin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the couchdb-bin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep couchdb-bin *
You will get with couchdb-bin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
